July 5 - July 12 - National Cherry Festival Join us for the biggest summer event in Traverse City. This year's Cherry Fest will include: -4th of July Fireworks- Come and celebrate the Fourth! The Fourth of July fireworks are graciously provided by the Grand Traverse Area Veterans Coalition. Fireworks are scheduled for 10:30 p.m. over West Grand Traverse Bay - Twilight Air Show- July 4, 2008- Patriotic Air Show and Fireworks all over West Grand Traverse Bay -Bay Side Entertainment Stage- This year includes Julianne Hough on Saturday, July 5, Gin Blossoms on Thursday, July 10 and more! July 10th - National Cherry Festival Bed Race Be sure to watch for our "Big Bed Wolves" bed in the National Cherry Festival Bed Race which starts off the Jr. Royal Parade! 5:00pm

July 17, 2008 - 26th Annual Garden Walk Local gardens in Traverse City and Interlochen Area Tour runs 1:00pm - 8:00pm The Friendly Garden Club of Traverse City will hold its Annual Garden Walk rain or shine.  Come and visit 6 beautiful gardens in the Traverse City and Interlochen Area.  Tickets are $6.00 in advance or $8.00 on the day of the walk.  Questions or information on tickets please call Sue Soderburg (231)929-1867 or Julia Wagner (231)941-8764

July 18th - Friday Night Live Downtown traffic is closed to motor traffic to make way for an evening of food, live music, shopping and family fun. Children's entertainment can include face painting, balloons, hair painting, side walk drawing, jugglers and much more! Begins July 18th and continues every Friday through August 29th.
